Problem

You need a business number to call and text sellers from REI Pulse CRM. Buying your first number is also what starts your A2P registration. Until you buy one, our team can't submit it.

Who it's for

New REI Pulse CRM customers during setup (Step 1 on the support page). Also anyone adding a number for a new market.

Steps

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Phone System.

  3. Click + Add Number at the top right.

  4. Type the area code for the market you work. Sellers answer local numbers more often. A local number is also required for A2P.

  5. Pick a number from the list.

  6. Click Buy Number. Each number costs $2.30 a month from your wallet.

  7. Make a test call to your own cell from the CRM. If it does not connect, allow microphone access in your browser.

  8. Install the LeadConnector app on your phone so you can take calls on the go.

  9. That's it for A2P on your end. Our team builds your compliance website and submits your A2P registration for you. Approval takes 24 to 72 hours, usually about 48. We'll let you know when it clears.

  10. While you wait, you can call leads and work your pipeline. Texting starts when A2P clears. You can send up to 50,000 texts a day once A2P is approved.

Common mistakes

  1. Submitting A2P yourself. Our team handles it. Doing it on your own can cause a denial and extra fees.

  2. Skipping the local number. It is required for A2P.

  3. Buying a number far from your market. Get a separate local number for each market you work.

  4. Not testing the number. Call yourself before you launch.

  5. Can't find your area code? Try a nearby one, or check back tomorrow. Inventory changes.

When to contact support

  1. The number does not show up after you refresh, or log out and back in.

  2. Test calls still fail after you allow microphone access.

  3. You bought your number more than 72 hours ago and have not heard about A2P.

Text the CRM Support Line at 623.323.7862 with the number you bought.
