🔵 How to Create and Send an Addendum Agreement for e-Signatures

Here we cover how to update contract terms and generate an addendum agreement for a seller or disposition deal. It ensures the revised terms are mapped correctly, reviewed, and sent for e-signature.

Key Steps

1. Open the correct deal in Opportunities 0:18

  • Select recipients from the dropdown and confirm the signing order if applicable.

  • Verify the addendum was successfully sent.

  • Check that the document status reflects the outgoing signature request.

  • Use the same process for both seller-side and dispo-side addendums.

Cautionary Notes

  • Do not generate the addendum before confirming the correct deal and stage are open.

  • Ensure the revised terms are accurate; errors in title company details, pricing, or escrow instructions can delay closing.

  • Allow time for the document to sync into the Contracts tab before attempting to open it.

  • Review the draft carefully to confirm the original agreement terms remain intact except for the intended changes.

  • If additional recipients are required, make sure they are added before sending, since changes after sending may require reissuing the document.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Keep a standard template of common addendum changes (title company, price, closing date) to speed up editing.

  • Double-check recipient roles before sending to avoid rework.

  • Use the mapped fields in the agreement generator to reduce manual entry errors.

  • Wait the full minute for the document to appear before refreshing repeatedly.

  • Apply the same workflow consistently for seller and dispo transactions to keep the process uniform.
