💳 Understanding Your Billing & Payment Process

Here's how billing works in The REI Pulse CRM and how to see exactly what you're paying for.

How Billing Works

Your billing has two parts:

1. Monthly Subscription

  • A fixed amount based on your plan (Core or Pro)

  • Charged monthly on your billing date

2. Pay-As-You-Go Usage

  • Only charged for what you actually use

  • Includes things like SMS, calls, phone numbers, and compliance fees

  • If you don't use it, you don't pay for it

This setup lets you control your monthly costs based on your actual needs instead of paying a high flat rate for features you might not use.

How to View Your Billing

Step 1: Click Settings in the left sidebar

Step 2: Click Billing

Step 3: Review your subscription and payment history

What You'll Find in the Billing Section

Payments Tab

  • Your payment history

  • Invoices

  • Recent charges

Wallet Transactions

  • Full breakdown of everything you've spent

  • Detailed view of each charge category

Understanding Your Charges

Click on Wallet Transactions for a detailed breakdown:

Category What It Includes Communication Charges SMS and call costs Phone System Phone number fees, call minutes Email Email sending costs (usually minimal) Compliance & Registration A2P registration, FastTrack, 10DLC fees Usage Messaging volume, number purchases

You can click the dropdown on each category to see the specific charges.

Setting Up Auto Recharge

Auto recharge keeps your account funded so your campaigns don't stop sending.

How it works:

You set a threshold (example: $10). When your balance drops to that amount, the system automatically adds more funds.

How to set it up:

Step 1: Go to Settings > Billing

Step 2: Find Auto Recharge

Step 3: Set your threshold amount (when to recharge)

Step 4: Set your recharge amount (how much to add)

Step 5: Save

💡 Why this matters: If your balance hits zero, your automated follow-up sequences will stop sending. Auto recharge prevents this.

Controlling Your Budget

Want to manage your spending? Here's how:

  • Check Wallet Transactions regularly - See exactly what's costing you money

  • Reduce phone numbers - Each number has a monthly fee

  • Adjust messaging volume - Fewer messages = lower costs

  • Review your automations - Make sure you're not sending unnecessary messages

Pro Tips

  • Review your billing weekly at first - Get familiar with your usage patterns

  • Set up auto recharge - Don't let your campaigns stop because of an empty balance

  • Check Wallet Transactions for the full picture - The detailed breakdown shows you exactly where your money is going

  • No hidden fees - Everything you're charged for is visible in the billing section

Troubleshooting

Automated messages stopped sending? → Check your wallet balance. You may have run out of funds. Set up auto recharge to prevent this.

Unexpected charges? → Go to Wallet Transactions and review the detailed breakdown. Every charge is itemized there.

Need to update your payment method? → Go to Settings > Billing > Payment Methods and update your card.
